When he has successfully cleared his patients acne the most common question he is asked is ” how can you get rid of my scars?”. Dr Clayton would usually advise waiting a few weeks or months after treatment, indeed 6 months if he has used systemic retinoid therapy. Dr Clayton also uses chemical peels and intra dermal fine needling (derma pen FNA) to treat acne scarring. Occasionally skin surgery with punch biopsies can be undertaken.

Dr Clayton can also treat keloid and hypertrophic scars.Dr Clayton and his dermatology specialist nurse colleague Georgina Devlin have developed a cosmetic dermatology clinic providing aesthetic treatments.
